The PGA of Canada and Golf Canada partnership in teaching and coaching has been a critical component in the development of this exciting new resource for golf professionals and golf coaches. PGA of Canada members were instrumental in the development and piloting of the new Learn to Compete program material and resources.
This new program has been developed with the guidance of experienced golf professionals who are certified in the Coach New Competitor (CNC) and Coach Developing Competitor (CDC) contexts. They ensured that this program met the highest technical standards and that it aligned with Long-Term Player Development. This program takes into consideration, scientifically proven methods for developing competitive junior golfers using age/stage appropriate objectives and benchmarks. This turnkey resource can be used by PGA of Canada coaches and instructors as their main coaching resource or as an enhancement to their existing competitive junior golf programming. The Learn to Compete program is a major component in all of our collective efforts to create a stronger player development system for golf in Canada.
The PGA of Canada is proud to present this resource in partnership with Golf Canada and is confident that it will be a welcomed addition to all PGA of Canada members’ junior golf programs
We look forward to your participation and support in this initiative.
